Connecticut BBB Approves New Board Directors at Annual Meeting

Wallingford, CT - November 9, 2012 - Connecticut Better Business Bureau Accredited Businesses voted to approve incoming directors at BBB’s Awards Gala, November 1, 2012.

Serving their first three-year term until 2015 are Joseph Verardi, owner of J.V. Landscaping, Robert Davidson, president of R.P. Design Web Services and David Sippin, president of Sippin Energy Products.

Serving replacement terms until 2014 are Julie Clement, James M. Clement Manufacturing and Custom Jewelers and Basil DeVito, World Wrestling Entertainment.

Peter Escobar, president of Colonial Flooring Plus, will serve a second, 3-year term until 2014.

On October 25, 2012, the Connecticut BBB Board of Directors voted to approve officers whose terms will run through November, 2013: William Wade, Vice President of Synapse Group, Incorporated as Chairman, Paulette Scarpetti, CEO of Connecticut Better Business Bureau as President, Drew Crandall, owner of Keep in Touch as Chairman-Elect, Jerry Shapiro, Solutions Development Manager of Office Depot as Vice President, and Dominic Scarano, CPA of Bailey, Murphy and Scarano as Treasurer/Secretary.

The Board of Directors also named the Members-at-Large of its Executive Committee, Stuart R. Phillips, CEO of UBI Federal Credit Union, William R. Hall Jr., President of Kaiser-Battistone, Peter Escobar, owner of Colonial Flooring Plus and Roy Friedman, President of Standard Oil Company.

The Board also thanked three outgoing members for their dedicated service during two, three-year terms as directors: Lucie Voves, President of Church Hill Classics, Steve Zion, President of Toyota of Wallingford, and Jules Poirier, owner of Jules Poirier Company.
